This year's fair starts on Thursday, August 27, a full week later than the 2025 fair.

The last time the fair started this late was in 2015, when it also opened on 8/27. The late start plus a rainy final Sunday contributed to a 2.47% drop in total attendance from the previous year.

A Return to 2 Million?

The Fair is still working its way back to its pre-pandemic peak of 2.1 million attendees in 2019. Will 2026 finally be the year that puts us back over the top?

Ticket Prices Stable

No changes after last year's price increases.

Last Year

2025 overall attendance was 1,940,869, a 0.78% change from 2024.

New Records Set

An all-time high for Day 5 Monday was set with 145,022 fairgoers. As impressive as that may be, it's a ways off from 2024. where a whopping 5 days set new all-time daily attendance records.
